Account & Data Deletion
Effective 1 September 2026
This page explains how to delete your RoadReady account and the data associated with it. RoadReady is published by The Software Factory.
How to request deletion
RoadReady does not yet have an in-app "delete account" button. To delete your account and data, email us from the Google account you use to sign in to RoadReady:
- Email: thesoftwarefactory.team@gmail.com
- Subject: "RoadReady account deletion request"
- Send it from the same email address you sign in with, so we can identify your account. You do not need to tell us your account identifier.
We will confirm by reply once the deletion is complete.
What gets deleted
On a deletion request we permanently delete:
- Your user record in our Cloud Firestore database (
users/{uid}) — this holds your email, display name, and account timestamps. - Your study and progress data stored against your account (quiz and mock-exam results, category progress, streaks).
What you may need to remove yourself
- Google Drive backup. RoadReady stores a backup file (
roadready_sync.json) in the hidden application-data folder of your own Google Drive. We cannot see or delete other files in your Drive. This file is removed when you remove RoadReady's access to your Google account: go to your Google account › Data & privacy › Third-party apps & services, select RoadReady, and choose "Delete all connections". - The app itself. Uninstall RoadReady from your device to clear locally cached data.
What we keep, and for how long
- We complete deletion of your account and study data within 30 days of your request.
- Aggregated analytics and crash data (via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) that does not identify you personally may be retained.
- We may retain minimal records where we are legally required to (for example, to evidence that a deletion request was handled), for no longer than necessary.
